What is Laveranues Coles’ Deal?
This team does not need distractions as they head towards the playoffs. Unfortunately Laveranues Coles does not understand that. Take a look at what he told a group of Bay Area reporters during a conference call yesterday,
“We’re in a quarterback-driven offense where he pretty much has control of everything, where before the offense was pretty much driven through me. … I just kind of become a role player instead of a guy that teams had to prepare for.”
There’s more:
“This is his offense. When we do throw the ball, there’s really no level of importance, where at one point it used to be where I was the guy … in position to get the ball most of the time.”
It gets better:
“I catch balls from the Jugs machine. The ball probably comes out harder from there than it does from anywhere else.”
And, in signing off:
“Of course he’s the big name, he’s the Hall of Famer, he’s going to get the majority of the credit but most of the guys who deserve the credit don’t really get it.”
Just as the media was beginning to move on from the Shaun Ellis incident another Jet has found a way to bring negative attention to the team. Don’t get me wrong I like Coles, but this whole “problem” he has had with Favre all year is foolish. It makes him look like a baby especially when the team is winning. As a matter of fact I could not care less if he has a problem with Favre because from what I can see it has not affected his play at all. The part of this issue that is troubling to me is that instead of keeping his problems with Favre in-house he has now created a potential media nightmare by making his feelings public. Stupid move L.C., stupid move.

Really, LC? What a dumb jerk. Now the Jets new found offensive troubles make at least a little bit of sense
Screw the Jets. Now that they have fellow cheater Mangenius as their HC. Screw him and Bellicheat. The NFL should have cleaned out all the freaking Pats from the coaching ranks. Yeah, I’m talking to you Romeo. Too bad Weiss isn’t still around the NFL. That fat ass could be sent walking, too.
The Jets already won the Super Bowl they set out to this year: justifying PSL’s and Coaches Club licenses from the hype of putting a retired QB in uniform and winning a couple of games. Every week this coaching staff proves it’s in over their heads with a poorly constructed roster (maybe putting Clowney and Nugent on IR so they could sign an extra LB or 2 with Harris injured), a poorly constructed gameplan, and a team that maginally executes but is never able to put anyone away. Why should players like Coles, who has head-to-toe injuries, care and risk themselves? If I were Sean Ellis I’d probably spend the night before games getting high too. All I know is, Chad Pennington will have the last laugh when he takes the Dolphins to the playoffs by embarassing the Jets to close out the season.
